SQL Database Developer - London/Surrey boarders

Awarding winning company with a product and service which is second to none is looking for a SQL Database Developer to work on a major new systems development project including better analysis and reporting on business data. This is a high profile and varied role within the organisation and is a challenging mix of business analysis, development, testing and maintenance.

Responsibilities include:
Design and implementation of database components;
Analysis of business data using SQL queries, SSRS and BI tools;
Maintain the performance and responsiveness of the database, stored procedures and related applications;
Improve data structures, indexes and stored procedures;
SSIS packages;
Data import/export functionality.

In order to apply for the role you MUST HAVE:
Proven success in SQL and database design and development;
Proven ability in requirement gathering and business analysis;
Strong SQL Server;
T-SQL;
SSRS;
Monitoring and optimising SQL Server databases;
Modern systems architecture and technologies;
SSIS;
SSAS;
Any other additional BI tools would be advantageous;
Exposure to .Net would also be desirable.

Systems Co-ordinator / Analyst - Database, Cognos, Helpdesk, Analytics - A fantastic new opportunity has arisen with a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridge area. You will be joining a friendly team and be involved in the maintenance and support of the pharmaceutical database and other systems used by them. This is to ensure both functionality and allow compliance with Regulatory and Contractual requirements.

*18 month Fixed Term Contract

Requirements for Systems Co-ordinator / Analyst - Database, Cognos, Helpdesk, Analytics:
Experience of supporting database application configuration
Experience of providing business analytical reports using a reporting tool
Have general system support skills
Ideally have some experience of working in a regulated and controlled environment
Excellent communication and client facing skills
Able to estimate and prioritise work load time management
Ability to explore and understand customer requirements where necessary
Able to adapt to change, be confident, self aware and be happy to work as part of a team
Think strategically, have innovative way of thinking, demonstrate empathy and be a self starter
Be happy to keep an open mind, trying to find good ideas in what people are saying

Responsibilities for Systems Co-ordinator / Analyst - Database, Cognos, Helpdesk, Analytics:
Represent and support the department activities
To gain an understanding of Pharmaceutical Regulatory requirements so as to advise and provide for with regards to technical needs
To actively participate in the development of the database and respond to user and regulatory requirements
To configure and maintain the database, providing functionality and support the daily activities of its use, such as case processing, reports and case importing
To support existing functionality for the electronic exchange of case reports to and from Regulatory authorities and third parties
First line support for investigating and resolving issues relating to the database and its functionality and where necessary to escalate the issue as required
To assist in the provision of data summary reports
To support and provide guidance on the design, set-up and use of additional data systems (such as SharePoint, email inboxes, distribution lists and electronic document archives)
To ensure that data managed or provided is validated and in standard reports
