Selection methods used
Competency-based questions
Competency-based interviews are designed around the key skills and behaviours that are integral to the role that you are being considered for. The style may be unfamiliar as it is not designed to explore your career history in detail but to collect information about how you behave at work against a set of core competencies.
These might include skills such as decisiveness, teamwork, effective communication, managing relationships etc. For further detail on this approach ask your consultant for our guide.
Technical tests
Some clients ask us to technically test applicants. We will send you a link to our online testing tool for you to complete in your own time. You will receive a copy of the results.
Psychometric tests
These tests specifically measure relevant aspects of your ability or personality that a company has identified as key to success in the role you are applying for. They are completed on-line and will be used to help identify areas to be discussed at interview
Proof of ID
We need to check you are who you say you are! We ask you to provide your passport or birth certificate, a copy is kept in a secure file. Please ensure we receive a copy of this as some clients insist on this prior to making the decision to interview and it may hold up your application.
Suitable opportunities
Once we have identified a specific role for you we will discuss this in as much detail as we can. Through a series of briefings or one-to-one meetings with the hiring or HR managers we will have gathered information on two levels, and we will share this with you. We may have an information pack available but it is important that you also do you own research on the company. Even if your application is taking time to process, you will receive a weekly update on progress.
